FALL 2010 HAPPENINGS:
Our Faith Formation classes have begun. We start at the beginning with "Creation."
The children enjoy opening with God's beautiful creation of all of us and our world.
We explore what we are creating each day in our lives; how God
continues to work through each one of us for the good of all. This
year, they created the artwork in the photo below.

Blessing of the pets...
We celebrated on the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi the blessing of our pets.
Many families, neighbors and friends came for this very special prayer.
This year we had a horse, a lamb, 2 goats, many dogs, cats, a hamster
and an assortment of stuffed animals to be blessed. "Our St.
Francis"-Steve Krakowski joined us again this year to pray and share his
story. The weather was bright and beautiful...the prayer was just
lovely.

In November we are sharing the activities of our Junior High Youth. This little group is studying the, Gospel of Mark as their core lesson and doing some, Community Service Activities for lesson support. Our young people are doing a great job.
The pictures featured here are from, Rake n Run - (November 8th, 2009) We joined up with some of the youth from St. Joseph Church, Bay City. There were 22 of us out raking the yards for our homebound and elderly parishioners in need. The weather was perfect, the kids did great and everyone had a good time.
After raking we went to, Berry Creek Farm. This is the 2nd year that Rick and Carole Wachowski, have invited us to the farm for a “bonding fire” and prayer, as well as treating us to a hayride. They offer this as a gift to our youth and we cannot thank them enough for their generous hospitality.
The Junior High have been active in parish activities, such as, Food of Faith, food drives, and bake sales. In December they will be wrapping gifts for, Habitat for Humanity as well as, making cards for the homebound.

* On October 26, we enjoyed a very special evening dedicated to the Saints. This was shared with all of our children and their families. With the help of the parents we have a new Altar Cloth for 2009. It is the work of our hands and at the end of our evening, together we blessed it as a group.
